Bristol South Swimming Baths opened in the 1930’s and are located in the south of Dame Emily Park.  It still operatates as a council run swimming pool for the area.  The slipper baths have remained closed and relatively untouched for over 50 years.  The swimming baths were more recently made famous when used as a location for the BBC’s Sherlock program.  The pool has undergone a series of modernisation works in recent years and it continues to be well used by the local community.
