Having previously visited this former mental hospital on the outskirts of Bristol it was time for another trip or two. Visited Friday & Sunday, the later in the day which gave a much different feel to the previous dark and somewhat spooky feel. The mortuary was bare, but still quite a find after so much talk about it.

Thanks so much for your description. Was it very far from the road.? We are on the exact plot.
The pics on county asylum site are very good too, as not of ruins.
Which other ones of yours are of the mortuary?
    Thanks again.

You may find more info on the site I co-write here:

The mortuary was a sqaure buiding almost divided perfectly into 4 rooms. Entrance way. Directly in front was the chapel of rest. To the left was PM, the door from PM led to a cold room storage and a door into the chapel of rest. There was a small rest/cloak room to the far left corner of the entrance. Some of my other reports on here have other pics of it.

    Thank you.
    Very interesting.
I live in a house here. Do you have anymore information about the mortuary, such as the layout or a plan.
I would love to hear any more memories.
    Thank you.
    A. Felix
