Harperbury was built as a specialised Mental Health/Learning Disability hospital built from the remains of hangers used in the first world war. It is now known as Kingsley Green

The sites layout resembles that of a colony plan typically associated with some of the later asylums/mental care?. At it?s height the place had over 200 staff and over 1,500 patients.
