It’s difficult to find anything out about this mill. Due to the vast amount of cotton mills around the area of Oldham I guess they are all too common to each other.

Bailey mill in Delph was built in 3 stages, starting in 1863 with later additions in 1865 and 1871 respectivelyand was owned by the Mallalieu family who were in the textile business strating withcotton and later moving onto wool, depite abandoning works at bailey mill in 1999 they moved just up the road to valley mill where they remain in business to this day.

    My mother worked at D & H Mallalieu as company secretary in the 80s and 90s at Bailey Mill. There are extensive records I think these went to MOSI in Manchester. Saddleworth Museum may possibly hold some. To clarify this was a woollen mill not a cotton mill.
